The final event for the Havasu region of the Weekend Warrior Bass Series presented by Anderson Toyota is in the books. The 28 teams took off to partly cloudy skies, no wind, and temperatures in the 70's.

Taking the win in this final event was the husband and wife team of Chad and Kris Hurst. Chad and Kris brought in a limit of fish that weighed 22.14lbs earning them $1400. The husband and wife team also won an additional $50 for having the Anderson Toyota/Weekend Warrior contingency sticker on their tow vehicle.

Finishing in second place was the father and son team of John and JJ Gibbs. John and JJ brought in a limit weighing 20.02lbs which was anchored by the days big fish. A 6.13lb largemouth JJ caught site fishing later in the day. The Gibbs' earned $875 for second place and an additional $200 for the big fish of the event.

Rounding out the top 3 was our support team for the season. Larry Locatis and Kent Bitsko caught 19.84lbs earning them $550. Kent anchored their bag with a 5.06lb big fish earning them second place big fish money of $100 for a total of $650.

Congratulations to Rick Francis and Joe Pena on winning the Havasu region Anglers of the Year. Rick and Joe had a spectacular year accumulating 767.40 points over the course of seven events. For their accomplishment the two will earn free entries into the 2014-2015 season.

I would like to thank Anderson Toyota for their support on this great season. Jason Anderson and Jared Lohrman continue to be the biggest supporters of tournament bass fishing in the state of Arizona. If your looking for a new or used car or truck make sure to check out Anderson Toyota first. They will meet or beat any price. Remember to support those that support us.
