Last week there was 1-2 feet of water running in the santa maria river in some spots.
10 mile from the lake. looking at all the washes that flow into alamo there had to be a ton of water dumped into that lake since Christmas.
One old miner we talked to every weekend off of the vegas highway along the santa maria river said they got a tons of rain a few weeks ago and the river was flowing pretty good.
Fishless usually has good numbers or knows where to get them
WTF. Just venting but we had a weeks worth of good rain and it did not seem to impact our lakes very much. Very discouraging. Hopefully the snow melt will help and maybe these lakes get some significant run off.
The snow was good but it fell on dry ground.. We won't get much runoff from it... We need more wet weather for sure... The weather people have been talking up this El Niño but it's been a dud so far... Hopefully we have enough winter left to get some rain...believe it or not all it would take is a series of good storms to put our lakes back in good shape... Like 2 or 3 rain makers is all it would take...
I hear you Westy; I'm still debating whether to keep my boat. Other things have taken priority and I just don't have as much time and energy to spend on the boat. Sorry to hear you are boatless.
