Talkalai water level (cool pic)

FYI,
Checked out the lake level (full) and it should be excellent for crappies in a few more weeks/days! It usually follows San Carlos for the spawn in both bass and crappies. When the elk&deer antlers are droppN its about time for fishN too. I can't wait for both lakes to explode...

Great view from the Northside.

Example of some of the slabs from Talkalai last year.

Is there a horsepower restriction on that lake? I've heard conflicting reports.

I'll be headed to San Carlos and I think I can find a boat ramp or two there.

Yes the HP rating is 15 or 16 HP max. There is a sign right before the ramp

I thought Talkalai lake was a private one, only for tribal families. I worked with one of the Talkalai family members a few years ago. He got into the grocery business and was working at the casino too.

Thats a negative on the "for tribal members only". And yeah there's a HP limit of 15hp max. I've seen bass boats in there before, just make sure its trimmed up.

Check that fish stringer out (bailing wire). Now thats a ghettorig.
