I've been dropshottin for weeks now and just can't seem to get any bites. I did everything I saw in the videos and still nothing. Can someone tell me what I'm doin wrong???
Here's some pics of my setup. I cut it right off my rod. I hope someone can let me know what the hell I'm doing wrong.
Happy Fishes!

That looks fine. I can't imagine a fish not wanting that. Maybe you're just not feeling the bites and should spend $300 on a new rod before your next trip to the lake.
Try fluorocarbon line lose the bobber and the the second weight and maybe a different hook I like the actual drop shot hooks by vmc. The have to points to tie to and the swivels help with line twist. Hope this helps

The problem is obvious. You need to touch up those scuff marks on the pink float. Most fish...bass in particular, are very sensitive to marks and scratches on tackle....they've even been known to turn away from a tarnished lead weight....best to polish those....keep a scotchbrite pad in your pocket...polish every half dozen casts or so and you'll be good.

Ah the nasty pendulum effect. if I lose the bobber or add a second bobber and find myself a zebco it should straighten this mess right up. I just need to make sure to feed enough line out with my hands
Thanks for sharing that set-up the best version I have ever seen of the dropshot JOKE.
Dude Im still laughing. Basstrix f-ing hilarious ( You gotta touch up the scuff marks ) I mean WTF are you doing man gotta at least by a new float if touch up doesnt work:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl:Iconrotfl

I hate dropshotting but most of the guys that use the fairy wand do not use 400 pound braid. Try 300 pound then work down until you get to 6 pound fluorocarbon.
Pretty obvious using a bait caster, the dreaded line twist. Fix is to use a tungsten threaded clevis swivel. Super Secret Tip ( lube all eyelets on your pole with chap stick so you don't have to hand strip the line ) keep it to yourself.
I had that same problem (not catching fish) trying to use a bait caster. You need to switch to a Zebco 202 and an Ugly Stik
