Boat Ramp to First Timer Boat Launch?

I just got a used bass boat, and want to go get it wet and start learning its personality.

I have never launched a boat before, so I want to do it when the ramps are not busy and not impede the more experienced launchers.

I work for a living so a Mon - Friday are out at the moment, so it'll have to be on a weekend.

Is there a particular weekend day/time that it's relatively slow?
Is there a particular phoenix area lake/ramp that would be best?

I was able to successfully back it into my 1 bay garage, which had 5" in each side, without damaging anything.

I do have a 4x4... not sure if that matters for ramp selection.

PS - what happened to Azbasszone forum? Not very lively over here anymore.

most people left and went to azcastnblast. I would not go to sag if you are new to launching canyon would be better and has a larger ramp, just make sure you go early 4x4 is a great benefit when the ramps get slick so your not spinning up the ramp. I usually get on the water by 5am on weekends to avoid the ramp traffic but saguaro is slammed weekends doesn't seem to matter what time.
