Kind of looks like a bigmouth buffalo. If it was it would have tiny sucker lips and no teeth.

I am sure you did not keep that fish but did you take anymore pictures of it? and you said it came out of Woods canyon?

Its a golden shiner. Woods Canyon Lake is full of them, along with illegally stocked green sunfish.
