Anyone ever caught a flathead catfish out of Alamo?

Supposedly theyre in there, but Ive never heard anyone actually catching one.
Anyone?

I caught 2 one night about 3 years ago....both were about 10 pounds...

Not many flats, but it's overun with channels..

Im gonna go out there and see about catching some then. I kinda suspected they were in there, but with a lack of structure....theyre not gonna be big.

All I ever caught were channels and bullheads.

I got one probably about 15lbs out there like 10 years ago. Got it on a crank by the dam...

eh, if I want to catch 10lb flatheads I will just drive 20 minutes to Plez or at least enjoy some decent scenery in the salt chain lol

caught a few on the south side of lake between the boat ramps.
we would fish for crappie there and be eating kentuky fried chicken tossing the bones over board crappie after about 3-4 hours crappie would slow up and we would catch tons of cats both channels and flats.
took us a year to figure out why the crappie would move or slow when the cats came in. buddy of mine figured it out on one of there trips while cleaning cats.

I've never caught a flat over 5 on that lake but we have boated them intermittently, all on jigs mid lake. With the water down the east end has a ton of hardwood exposed, I wouldn't rule that out if the west end doesn't work, just be careful nothing's marked over there.

been fishing there for 25+ years and never have.. heard there were some in there. we even cought over 50 a day last year every trip and not one... be nice to pull one out of there though.. good luck!!!!!!! watch out for the rocks!
