Stolen outboard

Please, if you are out shopping and find someone trying to sell my great little old Evinrude Fastwin 18hp motor please drop me a line, It was stolen along with my fuel tank, trolling motor and battery/ box the other night out of my driveway! I am trying to rebuild an old sears 5hp Ted Williams motor I have in the garage so the kids and I can still get out on the water, but it sure would be nice to get this one back! Let me know if you see or hear of anything please!!!

Thank you so much guys, and I apologize if this in the wrong forum, I just figured this would be the place that people who were shopping for motors would see it!

What kind of lousy piece of crap steals a man's fishing stuff?

That motor shouldn't be too hard to locate if it pops up for sale. Did you happen to have the serial number logged?

Yup Sandman... I just don't understand it at all.. I know I have the serial number somewhere, I just haven't been able do dig it up, I'm gonna call Lloyd's on monday since they typically service it just in case they have it written down somewhere. This old Ted Williams motor is givin' me fits.. the shifter won't go into neutral so I'm trying to loosen it up.. since it won't start in the water if the proper is adding resistance to the motor.

I had one of those older 18HP fastwins years ago. That was a great smooth running motor. I hope you get it back. There has been one listed on Craig's List for a couple of weeks, just so nobody jumps to any conclusions. Please post the serial number and the part of town it was taken from.

I'm in Chandler (the Kyrene corridor) near the Intel plant.. our neighborhood usually is pretty safe.. the officer that came by said he hadn't been to our neighborhood in at lease 6 months for a crime. I should have been more careful though, the outboard was padlocked on to the transom and it's usually stored up at my parents or in the garage, I just had it out because I was cleaning it out/ working on it a bit.

Ya Handyman, it was certainly the most dependable little outboard I have ever owned.

There's one for $300 on Craigslist, but it doesn't seem to be yours:

Sorry to hear about the hassle. Hope you get back on the water soon.
