Pleasant 7-2-15

Castle Creek was dead in the early evening. After the jet boats stopped churning up the no-wake area right off the dock at 7pm there was only one other boat in the creek besides mine up until 8:30 pm. Steady light breeze out of the northwest. I fished the west bank of the creek and picked up one 2lb large mouth. Never saw a single shad boil. The other boat was anchored in the middle of the creek and we never saw them pull in a fish. Slow night.

Thanks for the report. I'll give you a call later. Water is getting warmer too. Stripers might be more out in the main lake.

Nice report. Yah, that cloud cover this morning would make for some great fishing.

you've missed prime time fishing there in the river.

How was the boat traffic for the holiday weekend? I avoided the lake like the plague anticipating the worst....

Ya, azkiko. I found that out when I woke up and saw stripers striking around the boat. I put on a 1/2 oz. Castmaster hooked up on the second cast. I caught 1 more striper on a chovie.

DickValentine.... the boat traffic thurs night and Friday morning was good also. I had anticipated some party boats but saw none.
