ive had my eyes on the st croix mojo drop shot rod. only costs about 100 bucks too

The 820 is too much of a light weight whip rod. I like the 822 better myself.

I've been using an AllStar Platinum series for DS work and am pretty impressed with it (especially since I got it on sale for $58). Great tip speed and pretty sensitive too.
