2011-2012 USAC AZ Region Prizes

Today was a big day for the US Anglers Choice Arizona Region for a number of reasons.

The custom US Anglers Choice Power Tackle Rods arrived. These rods which retail around $350 each will be given out to the winning team at each event during the 2011-12 Arizona Region season (one to each team member). This is in addition to our AWESOME payout.

The "Get Better Results with Stanley" first out of the money tackle packs arrived the other day. These packages are awesome with a variety of baits (one package to each team member) all thanks to Stanley.

Last and certainly not least the biggest news of all. Darrell LaMoure and Arizona Components Company who not only helped hook us up with the prizes mentioned above contacted me and they have upped their Angler of the Year sponsorship. This season we will be giving away $4500 in Angler of the Year money at the final tournament of the season. That is $2000 more than this past season. This year the AOY in the Arizona Region each team member will receive a $1000 BONUS!! This is in addition to any prizes they may be eligible for from US Anglers Choice.

We hope to see you all this season. If you haven't fished one of our events this year come on out and give us a try. It's just $260 TOTAL ALL IN!!!

that is awesome. Does that mean AOY gets $2500 plus next season entries waived?

The Team that gets AOY will each get $1000. Depending on where they finish compared to the other AOY competitors at the TOC there is the possibility to win up to an additional $1000 as well as get entries paid for the following season. What you win at the TOC is what Anglers Choice gives you. What you win at the last tournament of the season in the Arizona Region is all thanks to Darrell LaMoure and Arizona Components Company.

Justin, just to be clear...A/C does not have a "throw out" tournament? Correct? Meaning to grab the AOY money you would have the best shot by fishing all the tournaments?

Correct there are no throwouts. The points are based off of all events fished.

Thats a great incentive to fish the whole season..nice. Too bad the ABA regional championship is on the same weekend. Clay is putting on an awesome event. Maybe if Friday is tough for me in the ABA I will head to Pleasant on Saturday..

Championship? I really wouldn't call it a championship when you qualify by fishing one tournament or the Lucas derby. 100% payback is great...is your basic entry paid for by ABA? If so, that's awesome...if not, it's just another tournament that you have to pay $500 for all in for two days fishing plus the expense of two days fishing. plus most likely practice. Not really a championship in my eyes.
