MBC, JACKAZ, and Allstar to host "Reggie Benefit Tourney"

Jack, Randy, John, and I are partnering to hold a benefit for Reggie and his family on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at lake Pleasant (Marina). There will be a large raffle and silent auction, food, things for the kids to do, and of course a bass tourney.

This is in no way meant to take away from anything else going on to help reggie. The tourney and raffle on the 9th is still going on, but we did not want to overshadow the focus of the Ranger Boat Owners Tourney. Plus everyone wants to help and this is a chance for every tournament director to come together and help Reggie.

I am headed to Bartlett as we speak to host the Couples event and the Guns and Hoses event. I will work on the entry form while I am there and will post the details when I get home Wednesday. I will also post a list of raffle and silent auction items and you do not have to be present to win these items.
I have been advised that members of Reggie's family as well as Eric Shook will be there. This is a total team effort between the directors, fishermen and fisherwomen, local and national tackle retailers, and local boat dealers. We want everyone involved. Reggie is going to need long term financial support and I know money is tight right now. However, we have to put this into perspective and dig deep to help a fellow fisherman. It could have been any of us, including me as I was there too (As Del has elluded to with his condemnation of my driving ).

I will provide much more detail next week as we work out the kinks, but please mark your calendars and make every effort to be there. We want at least a 100 boat field. It is thanksgiving weekend so what better way to give thanks than to support this event. If you are going out of town, please come back early on sunday and fish or at least come out for the raffle. As details become available, you may seek answers from Randy, John Sneed, Jack, myself, Tanya, or several others involved.

That is all for now. I just wanted everyone to start thinking about the date.

I don't miss runnning tournaments at all

I added a sticky to this thread. What an totally awesome way to help Reggie and his family. Maybe by the grace of God Reggie will be out of the hospital and in a condition to attend himself.

I need my commissions on boat, motor, and utility and cargo trailer sales to pay my bills but can donate a portion of what I get from sales if you mention that you're an AZBZ member. I'll just donate it to the Del-Mart site as I did before if Del could keep that product sku link up there on his site for the remainder of November.
As Rich said "It could have been me". We all need to think that way when making our donations, fishing in tournments for their benefit, or purchasing raffle tickets. Reggie's family needs some special help right now.
Please continue to keep them all in your prayers.
