Fisherman breaks record for largest striped bass caught in New York

Eric Lester reeled in the 60-pound fish May 14 on the Hudson River, shattering a record set in 2007 and bringing in the biggest freshwater fish in the state since 1957. The monster female bass was estimated to be 20 years old.

I used to fish about a half hour from there in the Hudson....there are some big fish that go up the river to spawn. I've caught a few in the 20 pound class from shore but that was about it.
