Just one of the many corporations laying people off. Energy and retail especially. The amount of corporate bankruptcy filings is skyrocketing. Apple is taking a pounding today. People with money better start spending it or things will get worse. Might as well spend it because it's value is only going to drop. Forget about saving it, savers only get punished.

I'm sure that the layoffs will be as diverse as the hiring and will be reported.

Seriously, it makes you wonder if all the time spent hiring with an agenda rather than simply hiring qualified folks is having negative affects. Maybe they should spend more time and money figuring out what to do with that big empty building in Chandler.

I just went to my Daughters graduation last Friday. It was 10 am at Grand Canyon, I would say 50% of that group were graduate's in the engineering field, looked like around 200 students. This is just one little school out of hundreds that will be putting new workers into the market.

LOL they are not buying smart phones either. You are extremely out of the loop. PC sales have been dead for years. Apple sales are down over 20 percent last quarter. THEY LOST OVER 46 billion in stock value in one hour yesterday. All because I phone sales dropped drastically.
The bdi is a leading indicator of our economy. And it is at its worst level in history.

In your estimation, how long before we have to resort to eating our children?

Actually food stocks will do well in the future. People have to eat. Do you know who the "grave dancer" is? He's only recommending food stocks right now. He is a commercial real estate mogul. Like TRUMP but smarter and has a lot more billions. He is saying the commercial real estate bubble is about ready to pop. There is little need for new commercial real estate, but they built it anyways. Hell with all the retailers like kohls, sears and kmart, shutting down a large portion of their stores this year, one could conclude there is plenty of commercial real estate.

Wait till some of these assholes allow themselves to be apart of a bail in. Now that is going to be some good times.

Oh there's no conspiracy here. Just bad decisions made by the leadership and now people will lose their jobs.....and right here in Chandler. Intel missed the boat on mobile devices and is struggling to catch up. They used to be number one for PC gamers, not anymore. When you listen to the CEO talk, he only spits a bunch of corporate jargon and says nothing of any substance. He talks more about trying to hire more women than anything else. I want to know what's going on with that big, empty, billion dollar ****ing building that the president christened two years ago but you get no talk of that. And what do you think is going to happen to the folks who are making these bad decisions. Probably nothing but raises and more promotions. In fact, it looks like the CEO is doing just dandy with his TV shows and such. More than likely, you have no idea what I'm even talking about since Intel is not relevant in your shop. When I need know what the beaners are doing with our stolen shit, I'll hit you up.

Layoffs happen. I get it. Nothing lasts forever, even cold Novem.......nevermind.

Now go back to sleep. We'll all let you know and will readily listen to your conspiracy theories when Mexicans and your guns are on topic.

CARACAS, April 26 (Reuters) - Venezuela's socialist government ordered public workers on Tuesday to work a two-day week as an energy-saving measure in the crisis-hit South American OPEC country.
President Nicolas Maduro had already given most of Venezuela's 2.8 million state employees Fridays off during April and May to cut down on electricity consumption.
"From tomorrow, for at least two weeks, we are going to have Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays as non-working days for the public sector," Maduro said on his weekly television program.

These people are a bunch of lazy bastards, obviously. Venezuela doesn't have enough fiat currency to order new paper for higher currency notes. They can't inflate the currency supply because they can't order new paper.

The whole world economy is connected. He is reality for you. You should be grateful you have a job, now is not the time to jump ship. You will be lucky to have a job in the near future.
