A decent set of batteries will cost you in the neighborhood of $200. There's not much you can do about the upfront cost, but there is a lot you can do to make them last.
FINALLY GOT TIRED OF THE ACID & GELS. WENT ALL OPTIMUM DRIES.THEY ARE WORTH THE MONEY WHEN YOU ADD UP THE MAINTENANCE, MESS AND LOSS OF ACID BATTERIES.
NOT TO FORGET THE WEIGHT.I HAVE 4 IN MY RV, 3 IN EA. BASS BOAT AND 4 ON THE HOUSE BOAT. ON BOARD CHARGERS THE BEST. SOLAR CHARGERS ALSO.
