The only time of year that I want to be on the water at Lake Powell is in the Fall. Spring winds and the Summer Monsoons & heat suck. Congrats on a great outing and surviving Padre Bay.
We fished wednesday and thursday and it was perfect. Saw that the winds could gust to 40 today so not for me. The Champion handles it well but it just tears the old back up. Glad you made it.
We fished it 6 days from April 30 to May 6. Got lucky, only had two days of wind/rain. That stretch from Warm Springs to Halls Crossing was 3 and 4 footers much of the way one afternoon. We ducked into one arm for a while to wait out the storm . glad the bilge worked cuz we speared one pretty good.
I mean no offense and them purely making a suggestion because I don't know how you're boat handles. And it could possibly be the angle of the camera . But possibly trim her down some. With my 203 and anything over about three Footers I trim it at about 45% trim and that keeps the bow just high enough that you don't spear a wave but flattens the ride out substantially
THEN FRONT WON'T GO DOWN ON IT?? EVEN IN SMOOTH WATER.
