Tempe town lake

Ran into this kid yesterday he told me that Tempe town lake is bone dry.
I thought they were gonna build a permanent dam behind the inflatable dam.
What happened to all the fish ?

They drained the lake to put in a cement dam and get rid of the rubber one.

Tons of hungry fish in the shallow pools that still remain. Mostly carp and tilapia but they sure are hungry. They will start refilling soon. Not sure where they will place the upstream buoys since that dam is no longer a factor and is shallows up in a few spots right before the flood control levee just West of the McClintock Bridge.

#MUSKIELIVESMATTER

I think he is on his way back east. Snowbirds don't like 95 degree weather.

Either that or he's off somewhere enjoying a delicious meatloaf dinner.

I was up in Phoenix yesterday
Ran into this guy during a business stop
He just got back from Bartlet and fishes all around and alot of urban lakes also.
Don't know if this is true or not.
He said game and fish is telling people to come and get all the fish they want .
Out of the holding area at Tempe town lake.
Said game and fish are afraid they will all die with the summer heat coming.
