The past 2 days were storming seas to say the least at Lake Havasu. With much relief the winds calmed and today was absolutely beautiful. The water temp was 51-53 degrees. I wish that I could give you a lot of details on how the anglers were able to catch their fish, but with the FLW coming to town in a few days and many of the anglers fishing for HUGE money, the anglers were pretty much tight lipped about their catch.
With 57 teams that fished the NBW Allstar Series at Havasu today, 24 teams brought in a limit of 5, 15 teams weighed in 1 fish or less.
Mike and Clint Goodwin did a great job by bringing in 5 bass weighing in at 16.67# with the third biggest bass of the tournament. They were awarded $4,190.
Total payout for today $11,770. (Total entry/options $270 (plus $5 release boat fee))
For all the results please see our website www.nationalbasswest.com or read about it in our magazine, Arizona Hunter and Angler. Our magazine will be available in California shortly. We are going to be bringing this month's issue to the next upcoming NBW Allstar Series events.
Good luck to all of those fishing the FLW Stren.
High five to John Sneed and staff for a very well ran tournament.
Thanks to all the sponsors including SKEETER BOATS, YAMAHA MOTORS, RIVER MARINE, SAWYER COOK & CO., TROLLING MOTOR DOCTOR, BONZAI BAITS, and FLUTTER CRAFT BAITS.
Best wishes to all
