We are getting ready for our “OPEN” tournament at Lake Havasu on March 14, 2009. For those of you that have been interested in fishing National Bass West this season without having to pay a membership, this is the event to fish.

This event is going to run along side of MBC who also has an event that is on March 14, 2009 at Lake Havasu.

We will be paying back 100% (entries and options). So far this season the payout has looked like this:

October 11, 2008-- Havasu --58 teams-- $13,180
November 1, 2008-- Fisher’s Landing --41 teams-- $9,575
January 24, 2009-- Lake Havasu --54 teams --$13,085
February 7, 2009-- Lake Havasu --50 teams --$12,465

At National Bass West it is all about the sponsors and the anglers for us.

Due to our great sponsors, SKEETER BOATS, YAMAHA MOTORS, RIVER MARINE, DAYS INN, SAWYER COOK & CO. and TRAVEL LODGE in Havasu, we are able to use the sponsors money for expenses and pay you the anglers back the money!

We do our sign-ups the Friday prior to the event at Angler’s Pro Shop in Havasu between 4-6 p.m. and again the morning of the event starting at 4:45 a.m. During the sign-ups we offer free hot coffee, danish, juice and water and then draw for the first boat out just prior to launching.

The first flight is due in at 3 p.m. During the weigh-ins we will have barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda and water ready for you.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 760-497-8238 or visit our website at www.nationalbasswest.com

Thank you and best wishes

Lynne Peterson

P.S. This date falls IN the off-limits period for those of you that are fishing the FLW National Guard so UNFORTUNATELY you cannot fish this event IF you are fishing the FLW National Guard at Lake Havasu in March. As much as we would like you to fish our “open” I wouldn’t want anyone to have problems.
