Roostertales at Roosevelt- 5/6/17; Bartlett Open 6/10
The Roostertales Bass Club held its fifth tournament of the year at Roosevelt Lake on Saturday 5/6/17. Lake temperatures were 72 to 74. Fifteen Teams fished. There were 8 limits. First place went to Jensen and Chubbuck with 9.94 # and big fish of 3.06#. Second place went to the father/son Team of Frost and Frost with 9.6#. Third place went to the husband/ wife Team of Asher and Asher with 8.33#. Fishing was tough as most teams reported less than 10 bites through the day. Fish were caught on various techniques and from one end of the lake to the other- including drop shot, texas rig, topwater, spinnerbait, and jerk baits. Although the fishing wasn’t the best, Roosevelt is looking awesome with considerable flooded vegetation. If the lake maintains this water level through the summer monsoon season, it is going to fish incredibly well for the next several years.
Our OPEN TOURNAMENT is at Bartlett Lake on Saturday June 10 from 4 pm to midnight. This is always a great event with high payback (80 % overall; 100% big fish) and a large raffle. There is a guaranteed $1000 payout for the winning Team. You can get more details and get the application at Roostertalesbassclub.com.
