The 2004 University will be on January 17-18 (ca. 8-4 each day). Registration is underway, and space is limited. Call Glendale Community College (GCC) at 623 845-3333 to register.

The $99 registration fee covers both Sat and Sun. It's only $50 for a spouse or an under-16 child to attend with a paid adult.

This year's headliner is Jay Yelas. The final list of other faculty should available soon after October 1, and you can bet it will include some top-notch anglers.

Those who register before January 1 usually get a free tackle pack from BASS at the University. Check with GCC about that. All registrants attending will get the 2004 Bassmaster University issue of Bassmaster magazine, misc. propaganda and freebies from AGFD, and an opportunity to grab autographs and buy tackle from the pros. They will also have shots at some great door prizes, and a chance to swap lies with 150-250 other anglers.

I've been to four of these in Phoenix, plus one at the 2002 Classic. They are educational, entertaining, and fun.

GCC usually has a hot dog vendor available for lunch, but sometimes just on Saturday. Otherwise, you must Brown Bag it, or take a quick run off campus, because the on-site opportunities are limited on Saturday and non-existent on Sunday.
