WON BASS
10-12 pounds and in the spring time you will see bags in the 15-20 pound rangeI just payed for my entry, Can't wait. I've never fished Mead before. What is the typical big weight for mead?
Gin clear water, you can see the bottom at 20-25 feet. mostly sandy bottom.I just payed for my entry, Can't wait. I've never fished Mead before. What is the typical big weight for mead?
Have never caught a smallie on Mead. I'm not saying Mead doesn't have them, just have never caught one.cool, there are smallies in the lake right? are there alot of them?
As champ stated above 10-13 lbs would be a great weight. Most fish in Mead are long and skinny, yet they have been kicking out some 4-5s lately. 3 1/2 is a good fish out there. Lots LMB and Smallies.I just payed for my entry, Can't wait. I've never fished Mead before. What is the typical big weight for mead?

Cool. I can't wait, the main reason I signed up is I have a chance of fishing with Clunn or the other big names that are going. I was looking at the results from ABA and WON and that seems about right. The weights ranged from 10 to 18lbs.As champ stated above 10-13 lbs would be a great weight. Most fish in Mead are long and skinny, yet they have been kicking out some 4-5s lately. 3 1/2 is a good fish out there. Lots LMB and Smallies.
It's by far my favorite lake to fish. I have been fishing mead since I was kid. If you get someone that knows the lake, your going to have a blast. The reaction bite is second to none in my opinion (if your in the right place). You can find wolf packs and it's also a good jig lake.
I wish I could do it, but work is being a butthole.
Have fun and Good Luck
+1+1+1+1Bring a kidney belt. If your pro makes the run to temple bar that is 50 miles plus. If the wind is up you are in for the ride of your life. With all that said, it is fun to fish. Bites can be few and far between. Just keep in mind it is a combined weight tournament which makes it fun. The pro wants you to catch fish!!
