Can you damage an ac unit by temporarily flipping it over?
Thanks, Ed

yes you can, if the unit is layed over upside down, the oil in the compressor can fill the cyclinders with oil, and when started it could hydrolic the cyclinders, damageing the valves and or pistons in the hermetic compressor, if its a scroll compresser, not sure, havent ever ran into that case
Dumb question here: How the hell did you flip over an a/c unit?

I havent, I just picked it up today, it's a roof top for my camper, just trying to get a better look underneath for the install...
ge krueger, do you do installs ?
This is an RV a/c unit then correct?
It should just be 4 screws holding it on the roof just bolt it up.

Yes, its a Coleman model 6753-707

Prob is the center flange is missing, it goes on the inside and has the holes for the bolts for the roof unit and also the screw holes for the control panel that also holds the ceiling shroud w/louvers.

If I can't find one I'll just have to make one out of some aluminum angle iron. Not that big a deal I guess but would sure be easier with the correct part that has all the screws/bolt holes already...
Thanks,,, Ed
