 This is just a hypothetical, so don't get in a panic. Suppose all production of all fishing tackle is banned. The stores are selling out and companies going belly up. You scrape all the money in the sofa, sell everything you can, & head out to get all the baits you can. Let's keep it to 1 of each (plastic or jig / crankbait / topwater / spinnerbait)

1.) What baits or lures would you get?
2.) What colors?
3.) What brand?

Here's my choices:
plastic: I hate to say it, but I guess a 5.25 Senko - watermelon
crankbait: :? tough one. Lucky Craft cb250 - citrus shad
topwater: 3/8 oz War Eagle buzzbait - black/red
spinnerbait: War Eagle 1/2oz Scream'n Eagle - chart/white

I sure would have a lot more room in my boat, a cleaner garage, and a lot less to worry about.... :? Hum, something to think about! NO WAY, forget that thought

Come on guys, the question wasn't suppose to be that deep. If it was, then Darryl and I would be the only ones catching fish for long because we would have HOOKS, unless you make those to.

It's just a confidence bait question & to see what other anglers like to fish. You can leave off the colors and sizes if your worried about someone else using your secret bait. :D

Your right about that Peg -it, I've got more crap than I know what to do with. My wife has to remind me everyday when she stumbles through the garage...LOL

Its gotta be softplastics, since I would never run out cause I have 200+ gals of the stuff sitting here.

Unlike a lot of people here I haven't had the chance to fish every bait out there and haven't used every technique I probably should have. I'd say that about 80 % of the fish I've been catching in the last 1/2 year have been on some sort of plastic.
If I could only have four different baits for the rest of my life I'd probably take mostly plastics. First on my list would definitely be a 4 " flash stick, next a 6 inch strait tail handpour w/ c-rig and dropshot hooks and weights, third would be a soft jerbait in albino or white pearl, and fourth would be a kastmaster.
These are the baits that I've done best with in my short time of bass fishing. I know that list won't be the same in a couple years When I learn to jig fish I'm guessing that will be at the top with the others, as well as when I get some more time with cranks, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, ect....... I've caught atleast a few fish with almost anything I can think of off the top of my head, but not enough to call them confidence baits yet. Josh

Great question.......if the market as we know it dried up tommorow I'd be a millionair by new-years.....I'd open my garage up as "getthenet's tackle shop" and sell stuff for $50.00 a pop to everyone else.....cause I've got lots of crap that I had to have it and never thrown it :D but everyone else would do the same and we are right back to were we are now :? you know when it all comes down to the ultimate choice I think mine would be an Iowa garden and a shovel ......... remember how we all started this little game

Big o,Big o, Big o, Big o, Big o, Crawfish color, bigger hooks, not the small, not the large, but the medium size BIG O. Secret is I rub the bait in my hands at the start of the day makes it taste extra sweet.LOL . All kidding aside it is my goto bait. You will always find one or two on my sticks in the boat without exception. OH.. Did I forget to say I like the cotton cordell BIG O

Hey Darryl,
Did you say you liked the Big O?...LOL  That is great! I only wish that I had a bait that I was that confident in. Actually there is one crankbait that I have a ton on confidence in, but the problem is that it's tied to the end of one of my competitor's rods. It's a Bomber 5A in a discontinued "Larry Nixon" color. I've seen him catch more fish and every kind of fish in every color water with that thing. What's even worse, he found the stupid thing floating in the middle of a cove on Ray Roberts, TX during a tournament headed back to weigh in....what luck.
