there's ashurst its pretty good for trout and pike
Any one been to lake Mary?
whats the fishing like up there. I want to drive up somewhere that is not so dam hot on Sat morning. leave at about 3:00 am. Any other lakes up there that would be fun to fish. 17' stratos 1 day. any tips would be great

was at mary about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago. water was starting to green up a bit. heavy winds and having the old lady with me i didn't fish it too hard. but caught a few pike and a perch all off of perch colored shad raps. in shallow water(tight to the bank). spinnerbaits did me no good last time but killed them the time before. also rattletraps did well on previous trips.
i was there on tuesday for about an hour and caught 4 pike on a chart. terminator spinnerbait on the bank in the weeds by shore, the water level is WAY down but fishing is still good, but do use PERCH colored baits cause thats the main forage for the pike, water is pretty stained, but not muddy
