Anyone have trouble with Az republic bugging you after you stop the paper

Geeeeezzz, I stopped the repulsive like 3 weeks ago, just never got around to reading it and can find most things online. Damn if they didn't call the next day wanting me to take the paper again:blink: told them hell I just stopped the paper, if I decide to order again I will let them know.

Well for 3 weeks now normally 2-3 times a day I see on my caller ID that the idiots have called. Dang do not call list says they can bother you for 6 months after you have done buisness with them (which I will never do again)

-----anyone have any magic words other than F Y or go F yourself to get them to quit calling all day long:?

they are worse than the damn out of state telemarketers:x

I had the same problem with the calls. After firmly making my point a few times they stopped calling. After the calls stopped I thought I was clear of them. Not so, The emails started coming. These people are worse than any debt collector.

Cox is just as bad, I am a customer and 3 times a week I am getting mail to join Cox. I am thinking are they serious, no wonder their charges are so outrageous. The keep wasting resources and the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

i usaully holler at the kids(in a southern draw) to stop poking the dead goats wit dat stick!! it gonna 'splode liken da last un. then yell at _ _ _ _ to hose 'em off it's yer turn..
then go from there.

ps i actually enjoy telemarketers calling me..

Heck my problem is I cant get the paper to stop coming. We had been just getting the Sunday paper and cancelled about 2 months ago, yet every Sunday I walk out and there is a paper.

make sure the idiots aren't still billing you for the sunday paper.

Obewan you are right, cox calls once a week, but I have fun with them I say we can't get the damn cable to quit locking up the picture with pixels and the cox internet is down half the time and you want me to get the phone!!!! they always seem to say have a nice day and hang up, and I get almost daily mailers from them in nice neat envelope with 3 pages of crap and I am already a customer.

It's a running joke here at our house. We stopped the paper 7 years ago and were bugged almost weekly for a year to start it again, now its tampered off to only a few times a year so we think there is a list down there that pays extra to anyone that can get us to sign up again.

They used to bug me all the time and I never had a subscription. After a while I started to screw with them.....Anyone remember Chef's (from South Park) parents? My roommate and I would get on the phone at the same time and do that bit where they argue over how much money they gave the monster at the door..... I also pretended to be retarded one time and blind several times....and they still tried to sell me a subscription....one thing for sure, they were determined.

Honestly, Arizona needs a better paper. For the 5th biggest city, the Arizona Republic is one hell of a joke. The articles are in remedial english and you're lucky to get anything worthwhile out of that piece of trash.

We stopped that paper about a year ago and about a month ago they offered ,I don't know a week or so for free and my wife took them up on it.I said what in the hell did you do that for ? She said you know when we're camping and always lookin for kindling ? Well we have a nice collection of them now and told them NO we didn't want their paper,they called a couple times we just say NO.

They're hurtin' pretty bad over there at the old republic. I talked to a few guys that are contractors that are just about ready to drop doing it. I used to deliver that crap when I was 17 up to all the stores in Anthem/New River/Black Canyon city and make some good money! Well, at 17 years old it was good money.

Um you should be happy that Del took the editor job especially is this economy. Remeber what site your on boy we a edumacated folk here:roll:

They used to call me all the time and I loved it. Each time I had the opportunity to tell them how gay their paper was and how biased and liberal they are. That usually shut them up.

I don't know about the Republic but we get like 3 free copies of the Tribune every week. Never had a subscription or anything. I guess it's just better for them to give it away and keep the circulation up so the advertisers keep buying ads. Makes sense to me.

On another note. If you are looking for non-stop telemarketing calls be sure to sign up at the entrance to Sportsmans Warehouse with the free gift card deal. Ughhhh what a mistake that was.

Last month the person sitting there again asked me it I would sign up. I looked at him and said I already did and all I got was a bunch of worthless crap and I really like being SPAMMED.

Newspapers died a few years ago. The Republic has had the dying quivvers for years and they just don't know they are dead yet. Look at the size of the classified section on sunday and you will understand. No advertising means no revenue and craigslist killed the cash cow.
