Can someone explain what this permit entitles you to? Is this a parking permit? if so, does allow year-round parking AND ramp fees? What lakes does it cover? Thanx for any help...I tried the game & fish site, but didn't find any info on this permit. I like to fish Apache and Canyon (when it's not too crowded).

I just learned about the tag by reading posts on this site, so I stopped into the TNF office on McDowell today and picked up some info. You have to purchase the Golden Eagle Passpost ($65) which is good for 1 year from the purchase date, and then purchase the upgrade. Which I have now learned (courtesy of Bayou) that it must be $30, making it a total of $95. It allows the holder to enter Saguaro, Canyon, Bartlett, Apache, Roosevelt, and heaven forbid we had an overwhelming amount of rain... Horseshoe lake, without paying the $6.00 entrance fee each day.

When I checked into the permit, I discovered that it does indeed cover parking for a vehicle and boat/trailer per day on the Verde and Salt River watershed lakes. However, it does not cover any additional fees charged for camping in "developed" areas. Primitive camping is included, but make sure that you are covered if you decide to camp in developed camping grounds.

Fishless? RippinLips? If RippinLips picked up the 2004 sticker in Mesa and the HQ on McDowell told Fishless they don't have them but will be the first to get 'em, then something or someone must be screwed up?
