Got there at 6:00 and diddn't get my first fish untill around 8:00. After that i was cathing them like crazy.caught all of them on zara pups. they wold only hit it if i walked it really fast. lots of 1 pounders and a few 2s, biggest was a 4, caught him by casting parallel to the reeds. the rest were all fish that were busting shad in the deeper water. one guy there caught a few on a drop shot rig and a few on a pop-r. i left at 10:00.

Sounds like fun!! Where is this lake located and are there any restrictions to fish it? I am in the far west side of town, but would like to head out there tonight if possible.

Long ago........

I first fished ASU Research park with friends ( a long time ago....) thats been 15 years ago .. We used small stuff , like grubs and 4 inch worms. Caught quite a few back then. ( 1 to 2 pound range ). That was fun. Octillo housing development had some hogs in there pond, but you had to fish fast before security kicked you off the pond.

dear jasonD, that was AM. I went there on the weekend and anly caought two, so if you go try to plan it during the week theres a lot less pressure then of course. I think the ponds there ore over rated though. You could be a "pond ninja", fish some housing development ponds and catch more and bigger bass. I always park in the lot right next to the pond, hopefully this helps!
