Hey remember 1 thing about Canyon lake it is a feast or famine lake 1 day you will slay them the next you will only get a workout.
If you are having a hard time on Canyon try using a 4" to 6" curltail
worm rigged on a darter head try the colors ( menthol blue) some call it blue ice or pearl white with black flakes . I prefer a clear worm with holi jewels myself just toss them up on the edges of points smallmouth love them. Just one more thing for you to try.
