27 total between us three.Nothing over 2lbs:mad:.Cranks,jigs and the fairy wand.Shout out to RoboJunkie, nice meeting ya.But a big "Two Thumbs Down" for the AZ Anglers club that was there today.Do you guys always release your fish that way?Witnessed fish being thrown underhand, overhand, over the shoulder from the weight table that sat at least 10+ from the water edge, back into the lake.Even saw a guy (adult)swinging back and forth a 1.5 lb largemouth from his metal stringer as he walked up to the scales.I believe this circuit is for all ages(many kids) and was pretty surprised at what I saw.To those adults that were out there and read this,Remember the kids are watching.Better examples and SPORTSMENship were lacking today.I'm done..............

I thought the same thing when I seen them doing the same at a night tourny at Sag about a month ago.
Appalling behavior and practice. Actually I find it unbelievable....

Don
I BET AZ G&F WOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THIS. IF YOU CLOWNS AT AZ ANGLERS CAN'T RESPECT OUR SPORT AND TREAT OUR GAMEFISH IN A DESCENT AND HUMANE MANNER, GET THE HELL OFF THE WATER AND AWAY FROM THOSE KIDS. WTF--UNBELIEVABLE:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Skeeter3 It was nice to meet you too. I also saw what az anglers was doing to the fish at their weigh . To lazy to walk 10feet to release the fish. What ajoke. I used to fish their club for about 5years and then started to see alot of things i disagreed with . i expressed my opinion on certian matters but nothing was done .. It all has to do with how the club is ran and the board members, and trustees. It is ashame that this club has gone down the chitter . it used to be a great club for the familys and Kids .

What is game and fishing going to do about it? seriously What can they do about it?

I do find the last comment funny because you stick a razor sharp hook through there Jaw, yank on it like there is no tommorrow and pull them in on there jaw while there trying to get away. Lift them out of the water hanging from there jaw while there shaking all over the place etc etc

while it doesnt look good to the public, I dont think it hurts them anymore than what we put them through getting them to the boat.

consider it as CPR you know you have a heart attack and some guy is pounding on your chest? this just wakes them up a tad ;)

The responsibility we have as anglers to the proper treatment of our catch after the fact is what is in question here Delw. Not the age old methods in which they are caught. We should hope that if an AZ G&F warden witnessed the acts described here in, that he or she would have plenty to say and or write. But if by chance they were to turn a blind eye, then it would be breaking the oath taken to uphold our states game laws and protect our states natural resources and certainly don't deserve to wear the badge. As anglers, if hearing crap like this doesn't piss you off to no end, then you have no business being on our waterways and should sell all of your gear and tear up your licsense beacuse you don't deserve it. Damn I wish I would have been there to see that. I would have had plenty to say!!!!!!:mad::mad:

when was this happening?
WOW! from a bass club thats unacceptable! valid point delw, but i, like i am sure most of you were, was taught as a youngster how to properly handle all game fish and animals. chuckin a LMB 10' into water is ignorant. what a bunch of jergoffs!

I am just saying I find it funny the way its worded. thats all. we wrench there jaws with a hook but yet get pissed when someone doesnt something a little different

what could they right you a ticket for? harassing game fish? I don't believe there is any law that specifically says how to release fish.

Game and fish saying something and the general public saying something in a case like this would mean the same thing basically nothing. the only difference is that game and fish would be in uniform but still couldnt do anything. it would be more intimidation than anything else.

This doesnt piss me off one bit, I have done it a few times and most that say they havent are lieing. how far is too far to toss a fish? 3 feet 10 feet 100 feet? I have tossed small fish into other boats.
I agree it really shouldnt have been done like that but it was, now that it was brought up maybe it wont be.
Sometimes people get so dam worked up over nothing but they fail to realize what they put the fish through in the first place getting it to the boat( but thats ok cause we been doing it for years?
all they had to do was quietly say to someone hey dude that doesnt look cool.

in texas at lake amistad they have a tube that shoots fish from the top of the lake to the bottom of the lake, its about 100-200 feet long, is this wrong? if not why is it different because its enclosed and its out of site out of mind? its more than a 60 degree angle DOWN.

Hatchery trucks shoot them out of a the back of hathery trucks into the lake, they drop fish from helo's and planes when stocking unaccessable lakes in washington montana colorado idaho and oregon.
they are put into plastic bags and dropped, they are hoping that at the alltitude the bag of fish is dropped at it would bust open. some times it doesnt most of the time it does. its alot more than 10 feet too.

look at what some people do with trash fish, and lots of guilty of this as well, toss them on the bank, use them for throwing toys. but thats ok cause its a trash fish?

Gotta love making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Agreed

oh here I will give you another example using dogs.
My daughter has a huge ass dog, it likes to jump on people, its still a pup.
I told her to buy a choke chain and yank it when the dog jumps up on someone. they been doing this for years we did also and it cured the problem, The Warden and I were over at her house last week, she showed me the choke chain she got, it had spikes/barbs inside.( she had no idea what type of choke chain to buy, the lady at pets mart told her this one)
I was like WTF that will kill the dog told her not to use it and get a real choke chain.
so when I was getting feeder fish for my fish I bought her a real one, pets mart sells the spike ones and lots of people buy them.

to me that would be inhuman and cruel, the spikes getting caught and puncturing the skin can cause some serious harm to the dog. I am ok with a regular choke chain, but not one of these modified inside spike choke chains. there are people that get pissed when you use any type of choke chain and not a harness or collar.

Be specific... as to exactly what laws, did these individuals break?

They were within their limit, and they released live fish back to the lake. Just what did they do to evoke the wrath of the G&F, I bet PETA would have been pissed (I do give you that).

Is there a distance or height restriction with regard to a LMs flight path back to the lake.

I would rather not see or hear about "sportsman" acting as described, but this fish nazi crap has me rolling on the floor.

Thats what I am getting at.
one other thing 10 feet aint shit, most people do it every day when unhooking a fish, 5-8 feet is common, distance from you to the water when standing up on a boat, why is this so much worse than 10 feet?

when we hold a fish for pictures most are holding them from the jaw and the fish is wiggling all over the place, but very rarely you see someone make a big deal out of it. ( on this site 1 or 2 people have said something about it)

BTW I am betting it was more than 10 feet however for someone to complain about it.

Dont get me wrong I am not saying this is a good thing for people to see/do, ie its public perception and everyone looks at things differently.

hahahah Delw I was thinking the same thing. That guy had the most annoying voice I have ever heard. One of the great regrets of my life was not telling him to shut the hell up. But you cant be fighting in front of the Sherrif station, now can you? : Jerk-it
The bad part about that was I had to make him repeat what he said 5 or 6 times cause I couldnt hear that well. I kept on Saying WTF did you say I cant hear you, coles getting all nervous and your chewing him out and I am trying to figure out what he's saying
