I fished Bartlett from the shore from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm last night with my father in law who I'm teaching how to fish. After last night maybe it's him teaching me how to fish. We couldn't get the top water going at all so we started using a drop shot rig. I lost one LM at the surface and missed a couple others, and missed 5 or 6 cats on a stink bait line I had out. I introduced my father in law to the drop shot last night and he managed to land a 2 pounder and about a 1 pounder and lost a couple others. So we ended the night with 2 fish for him and no fish for me. Still had a lot of fun though and it was nice to get away.

Sounds like you guys had a good time. If you fish more often together you could go in on purchasing a boat together. Fishing from a boat , seems to be alot better fishing. At least you get along with your father in law :lol: Good luck to you......
