Fished WON today with not great results. We caught maybe 17bass and only had 4 that we could weigh. All fish came on dropshot Morning Dawn behind the Marina. Oh ya it was windy!!!

It was only windy behind the marina heck out where we were it was a freakin hurricane. On the bright side Chris you wupped us :lol:

I just got done selling the rest of my poles and gear for a wind sock that can slow a thousand foot freighter. As I laid in bed last night I could still feel the boat going side to side and the sound of blowing wind in my ears. It cant be perfect everyday! I wish I didnt stay with the game plan but we did and next time I'll probably stay with it. Sounds like the river paid off better then the main lake. It sure was nice to fish the areas with no other pressure but I kept saying that maybe were in the wrong spot. But to take the cake was that shore fisherman that picked up that 2-3pounder right after I worked the heck out of there :evil: Just goes to show you that having a bass boat doesnt mean sh-t!

it says right in the rules that you can not fish near the marina, or in the no wake zone associated with the marina!!!! You fished in an off-limits area. I hope you didn't win any money!

Did they specifically change the rules with respect to fishing behind the marina (just curious) and if so, why?

you were not allowed to fish the slips only the coves and the bank line behind the marina. I'm not exactly sure if the rules were changed, it was I think to clarify that the area on the backside of the marina was ok to fish.
