How many of you guys get home from nite fishing and find a dead bat in the boat? I've had 2 in the past year after fishing at saguaro.

I had one hit my line last night at Rosey. I was using florescent line with a black light and it looked like I had one hell of a bite.
When you fish at night, the first few things to adjust to is the bite; a fish or a bat hitting the line.
if you have a Nucli light, that usually helps if you are a visual person. I fish by feel, when the bat hits the line with a quick tap, tap, so do bluegills. Lower your rod tip so your line is on the water and not exposed to the bats. raise your rod tip and see if that fish is on or the bat went away. You have to use patience and not swing for the fences so quickly on the hook set.

I ran Saguaro lake the other night and had a dozen bats bounce off of my boat. I need a face mask with a clear lense, beacuse I was ducking and jiving down the lake. I have a set of head lights that are turned on when I run the lake and the bats are slow to get out of the way on WOT. A few ducks too!

I have a shirt just like that in your avatar! I picked it up in Sedona. The other shirt that I have is stop starring at my bass!

I never thought of them nicking the line. I'll have to check it on this weeks nite outing.
