For all you Ficht owners out there, who have you found to be the best at maintaining your Ficht outboard? I'm familiar w/ Complete Marine and Tempe Marine, however, I've never dealt with them. Thanks in advance.

Well I must say that I'll be the first to bash Tempe Marine but lately they have been pretty alright. No majors done by them so this probably wont help you. I do know this it's like 2 weeks before you'll get in. PS... trolling motor gear fix and gas tank fix. good luck, I myself have a Ficht what is the problem? Just curious so I know what to look for :D

My vote is for Complete marine. I've been using them for 5 years now, and have had nothing but great service and results from them. Delbert is one of the best OMC mechanics around. I've found that the prices are a little less inflated than Tempe marine as well. Tempe marine seems like they're always backed up for a month every time I need something done.

Ficht Maintenance

Slotking, I don't have any problems. I'm just posing the question to know where I should start when/should they arise. I just got this rig recently and it's rigged w/ a 225 Ficht. Based on the research that I've done, it seems to require more than the 'back yard' approach. Hence, the emphasis on "qualified" OMC mechanic. I usually do a lot of my work, but when I need the stinking special tools, I want to know a good source. Thanks for the feedback, guys.
