BLBBDays
Oh, you won't have to look far to watch this debate heat up.
I can only go with what I knew Lake Pleasant to be prior to BLBBDays and what it has become now. 100 fish days were not uncommon with a strong smattering of 4's, 5's and an occasional larger one. I have not seen a 20 fish day on Pleasant since Big Bass Days started. It has gotten consistantly worse. The number and quality of fish has greatly been affected by this event. I am no biologist or marine management specialist, but I do talk to hundreds of fisherman who would agree with me. Now, you will hear that these events in no way matter to how the fishing has been affected, mostly by the guys who throw dozens of dollars worth of waterdogs out there in an attempt to win trucks, boats and cash. Nice and good for you if you win. I still think it has put a huge dent in what was headed to be a trophy bass lake.
Save the comments about how I su*k as a fisherman if I can't catch bass at Pleasant. I have heard it all before. I have won 10 out of 30 club tournaments I have fished over the last 3 years. Yes, it is a 20 boat club, so what, big deal. But I challenge someone to discount the decline, at least in part, of Lake Pleasant to something other than the BLBBDays.
Game and Fish has disproven the striper influence and can't explain it. Anyone else want to give it a shot? This is not a shot across anyone's bow; just one man's opinion of what he has seen.
Good fishing to all.
