Black Dog Shellcracker

Any one have a shellcracker? Are they worth the money? They look sweet. SPRO came out with a gill colored bbz1. I think the shellcracker looks a little better but for 30 bucks more is it really worth it?

I have a Shellcracker wake bait with the Bluegill design. The workmanship is pure art. Beautiful. However, I have yet to catch anything on it. I have only fished it on the Calif Delta. The most action I,ve ever had was fishing coming up and bumping it. No solid takers. I tried twitching, slow crank, fast crank and everything in between. Others claim tremendous success. But for me, not so much.

It has worked really well for me. About 30 + fish at Arivaca over a one year span and about 10 at Roosevelt in the same time period. 12 inches all the way up to a 7 pounder. Sometimes they explode on it, other times it just disappears under the water. I do better when the sun is high and it is HOT outside. Love the shellcracker.
