On Saturday morning, I was heading back to the ramp, calling it a day. As I was heading South towards shiprock (on the right side )a ski boat came around that blind corner on the wrong side, went between the shore and shiprock, and looked at me like, "what are you doing here"?. I looked at him and held my hands up, palms up. To visually say "What's with that"? He flipped me off and laughed. I was about ready to turn around and do my best to explain what he was doing was very unsafe for his 6 buddies and the skier. As long as I am on this soap box. When fishing past sunset, it blows me away how many people are skiing with no lights on. This is a nightly event. On Friday, It was dark when I headed in at about 1/2 throttle and if I hadn't been paying attention, I would have run right up on a big boat with no lights on. Do our law enforcement agencies need an accident before they start enforcing things like this? What can I do as a concerned boater that enjoys safe boating?

I will tell the guys at Saguaro about this. is it mostly up there in the toolies?????? as for the [email protected]#%&$# idiots in the ski boat, get their AZ numbers, the color of the boat and we can find out who it is registered to. I know at Bartlett i will keep my eyes peeled for problem boats and try to make their stay as pleasurable as possible.

Delw, I am worried about you. Everytime I post anything you are worried about my pink thong. I will give you mine next time I see you.
To: Boatcop. Thanks for your advice. A while back I took a picture of a big boat cruising along, up river in the no wake zone. I enlarged it and posted it on the bulletin board at Ramp 2. I noted "Watch out for these guys, they are unsafe." To all those people that think I am being a bit anal about boat safety. Sorry, but when you have kids and grandkids, it's a curse. You are able to see a situation that is a potential accident, and it's just a matter of time.

Spiderman, I remember reading your post talking about posting the pictures on the board. I thought that was a good ideal. Anal about boat safety? I think you're fighting for a just cause. I don't think the majority of people out there want to be unsafe or just jerks, I think most people just don't know the "rules of the road". The people need to know.
