Its not all that complicated just tedious. you have to sline the rod, set the guides at the right spacing, check the load then wrap it. i have been making my own for 15 years. cant get what i want from store bought. go to Neils and get a cheap blank cheap reel seat and guides and make a practice rod before you spend some good money.
