Is it true that it's illegal to fish with a live crawdad except for down by Yuma?

Nope. The regs say a person may use live crayfish as bait only in the bady of water where trapped. Its illegal to transport live crayfish except for one area down by Yuma.

That rule kind of sucks, they are legal to use in California though..

They are legal to use in AZ too, you just can't transport them between lakes.

Let me make myself clear, I mean I think it sucks that I can't go by waterdog willies or fishermans choice and buy a bunch of crawdads to fish with......I normally wouldn't use live bait, but I'm not passing up a 10 plus "bedfish"---she's going to get the big "fly lined" nightcrawler action................
