Canyon 9-21-03

Hit Canyon afternoon for a couple of hours fished from 5:30pm to about 9:00pm. First off had to lend my scale to some guy that had a 9.1 largemouth caught on a rico up in the river after I had been throwing top water with no takers except for a big bluegil.
Right at dark I filled the boat with smallies throwing a crank bait on a grassbed that then dropped off to 60 feet. From Dark till about 9 caught 7 smallies all on cranks biggest right a 4 pounds (will post pic when buddy e-mails to me). Partner caught 1 largemouth at 2lbs on a fat free shad. All and all I was the hero on Canyon and not the Zero on this trip. Look forward to going out again.
