Fished Canyon with my buddy Chad from 9am-12pm in the Boulder Creek area, using swmibaits exclusively from the shore. Shad were everywhere, and in several patches, the trout had them trapped in the tulies. Caught a 9.1 that was in a 7's body...belly full of trout gave him 2+ easy...had about 6 more good follows/bites, but couldn't land another fish. Great short trip, can't wait to get out and do it again...pics will follow as soon as they get developed (probably tomorrow). Lone Ranger/Howard, hope that we are still on for tomorrow...PM me and let me know, looking forward to it!!! Good luck everyone...targeting the shallows may be a good choice at Canyon right now, as all of the rain pushed the baitfish up onto the banks.

Thanks guys...
It was a blast...biggest bass yet, and it sure was a rush...it was only my second time throwing a swimbait (blue shad pattern optimum suspending), and she took two passes at it before she finally hit it...they wanted it off of the bottom, which I realized after fishing it slowly by her twice. I don't have a swimbait rig yet, but I know where my next splurge is going!
