Thanks Matt for answering your cell phone at 0400(that is now busted....AGAIN!)! Matt joined me as my back seater for the Columbus Day Classic edition of the Monday Morning Breakfast Club. I highly recommend this guy as a back seat suck/guide! He taught me the right way to rig and retrieve a Bass Assasin. I caught all of my fish on these things and Man what a rush! I only weighed the largest bass and he weighed in ant 3 1/2 pounds at 18". The rest were 15, 14.5, 13.5, and 12.5. I may be off by a bit since I left my talley sheet with Samario, but what an awesome day! I was lucky enough to win the GLoomis GL3 Bait casting rod for the most measured LM and I owe it all to Rookieboy for showing me the proper technique!

Now the funny part. I can't blame Ned02 for launching Rookieboy out of his boat anymore since Matt has an innate talent for flying or falling out of boats! :shock:

We made it all the way to the ramp where Rookieboy was jumping out of my boat and onto the loading dock..........Well almost! He got one foot on the dock and thought he'd push off from my boat to get the rest of his body on dry land. Well.......funny thing about pushing your self off of a boat. They kind of give a little, or a lot in Rookieboy's case :lol:

Yup, You guessed it........SPLASH! talk about a kodak moment! I'll never forget to bring my camera again! And his cell phone? You guessed right again. He had it in his pocket and it was D.O.A. on the way home. I'm thinking about buying some stock in Motorola or Alltel! Matt said that he was counting on his "Cat-like" abilities to make it to the dock dry and safe. He thinks his new handle should be Puma. I'm thinking more like Wile E. Coyote! (Super Genious)

Thanks Matt for coming along for the awesome guide service and not to mention the entertainment!

One thing's for sure when it comes to the MMBC. It's never a dull moment. A great time with great friends and everyone had a good time.......well everyone but Rookieboy!

Just kidding Matt and thanks again for tagging along.

Hmmmm. Now that I have this beautiful new rod I'll need to get that Johnny Mooris Baitcaster I keep hearing about!

I had a great day today! Rookieboy tried to tell me about the bass assassin. I rigged one up but obviously didn't listen intently enough. :roll: Nothing for me on them. Matt, next time I'll ask more questions and get a demo! 8) As said before, was good to see everyone again and chat and fish! Oh ya, almost forgot - ya right - I got THREE, count em...3 lm today! And I'll have you know they were all on dropshot! I'll get the hang of this ds thing eventually! They were all little guys - 1# to 1.5# but it was still THREE fish! Rob? Hold on, let me go ask him again how many he got today.......

OUCH! Sorry Rob, you did tell me that already! He got zero, nada, zilch. :twisted: :lol: He made some passing comment about "ask her how big her biggest fish has been!". Okay, so he's had the good sized fish for now, but the bet is going for which one gets the first 10! :twisted: :lol:

Thanks John for the kind words. I did the easy part, point you in the direction of the fish, you did the hard part, get the fish in the boat! It was a lot of fun today!


It was great to see everybody on the water! I appologize to Josh, brother ? and his dad for not saying hi. my bad. I wanted to shake the hand of the big guy in their boat who stuck that 10+ a few months back. WTG again Josh!

I believe our good luck started today when I rubbed Baxter's head before I got into John's boat. That poor dog would have nothing to do with me when I was leaving today. I was dripping wet and sqwishee (sp). He ran the other way when he saw me coming. Have you heard of the curse of the great Bambino? I have the curse of the great plunge. My cat like moves failed me again today darnit! LOl

Well, I gotta go buy a new phone and a pair floaties. Later!

I had a really good time this morning. I only ended up with three small largemouth in eight hours, it was pretty slow for me. It was great as always to see everyone as always. I don't usually get to talk with alot of the great people here so it was a special treat to get out there today. And RookieBoy, it's no big deal that we didn't get a chance to chat, I'm sure I'll see you out there again soon. A huge thanks to Samario, and I can't wait to fish the next one(I may need to suck a backseat for that one) Thanks for a good time. Josh

Wow, a Loomis as a prize? Thats cool! As for falling in with the cell phone, I can share that one as well. I like the excuse "I needed a new, updated phone anyways"....thats why I took out a 50 dollar deductable on my new phone. Its got the camera in it, so I will always be able to get pics of the good fish, unless my crappy line lets me down, like last trip. One of these days after I get my boat I will have to show up for a MMBC...I have a score to settle with that lake.
