Any Zoners running a Cold Ait Intake on their diesel? Do you have power issues when our weather gets hot...100+ temps?

I run a cold air intake on my '07 Powerstroke, better power and mileage no issues.
run it on 5.9 cummins...no issues
Man, when its cool mine runs great. But when the temps are up I notice some power loss especially if I am towing something.

NEED HELP!
Is it a Ford? I had an EGR cooler go out under warranty and had power issues in the heat.
Yes, Ford F350 4x4 Crewcab dually.
Mine would suddenly lose power then kick in again. Had it happen twice on the road to Payson on steep hills and that is dangerous. I know they had a number of problems with the EGR systems during the '03 snf '04 models. When the cooler blows you will see white smoke pouring out and water dumping out of the tailpipe. Hope it isn't that.
It does kick in and out. But really bad tow when like going to Roosevelt up the beeline. No white smoke but I thought I had cooler blow and 2 injectors about 2 years ago. Ford is telling me it is the EGR valve, not cooler. Does that make scence?
I don't know since they replaced both on mine. Good luck.
YES I DOES MAKE SENCE THAT IT COULD BE THE EGR VALVE, NEWER DIESELS BEING COMPUTER CONTROLLED HAVE KNOCK SENSORS AND THE EGR NOT OPENING AS PRESCRIBED BY THE LOAD THE COMUTER IS SENSING WILL CUASE CYLINDER TEMPS TO RISE AND ENGINE WILL START TO KNOCK, THUS THE KNOCK SENSORS WILL SEND SIGNAL TO COMPUTER TELLING IT TO BACK THE TIMING OFF TO STOP THE PINGING OR KNOCK--THUS LOSS OF POWER DUE TO TIMING BEING RETARTED TO STOP THE PINGING, DOES THAT MAKE SENCE?
No problems with my 00' Ford 350 Crewcab dually. My rig consist of a 10.5 truck camper and a 21ft Triton. Truck has 150K + miles.
take you intake air temp sensor and run it in to the ac in the cab you will feel a good gain and fix your problem you can wire it so you have 2 sensors and unplug your stock one just have to buy an extra sensor the colder that sensor it the more fuel the comp will send

Best way to fix it....Get a new "real" truck!
I have a real truck. Just because you drive a pimped out girly 'gas' Dodge... Hey I called you a bit ago. Call me Dickweed.
ckremer is..
I have a brand new K-n-N cold Air intake for a Ford Diesel if interested. Let me know what year it is and I will see if it will work. I'll make you a smoking deal if it's what you want and fits.
