Converse Boots?

We use them up here. Guys seem to like them

I got a pair, never wear them I find they fit a bit tight and just don't feel right to me. But hey, what do I know I am used to what the Army has issued me for the past 20 years.

I bought a pair last summer ( black duty boots). They are pretty light with a real soft rubber sole. But it feels like im walking with a 1 inch lift in the back. Pretty comfy, but I rather use my Danners. Only $50 bucks more.

Yeah - those danner boots are nice!

They last forever, where as the convers seem to fall apart because of the softer rubber.
One step better is going to a foot Dr and custome insoles made that match your feet.

Do the Okley Gov sales and get Okley boots. They are great. They run about 90 bucks with discount.

Converse fell apart the quickest for me. As Ranger stated, the Oakleys are by far the most comfortable, however in my opinion they are the least attractive. I own Danner now, a bit pricey though.

For the last five years, all I have worn were Danners. I just bought a pair of Danner Striker IIs a few months ago, and I have lost most of the eyelets on the left boot. The right boot is fine. I have had some issues with their customer service, and have decided to buy different boots, and I was hoping the Converse would be good.

That is good info. What type of challenges were you having with their customer service? That is dissapointing to hear. Are you K9 in Globe?

Go with the oakleys

for what we do the danners are good boots but i dont care for them. Alot of guys have the oakleys and like em much more inless it rains. i would say buy the oakleys

Got the cons in the mail yesterday- Desertgear.com, ordered on Friday, wearing them on Tuesday. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I like them so far. I got the ones with the composite toes, and they are different (never wore steel toe boots before). Chief asked me why I got the composite toes, I told him they leave a better impression!!! Getting ready to send the Danners back, along with a few choice words for their customer service.
