Crayfish Education Day Set for Aug. 24
Learn to catch, clean, cook and eat crayfish on Aug. 24 at Willow Springs Lake near Payson. If you go, you’ll be in good company: the crowd will include the “Rosie On The House” team from KTAR Radio, noted outdoors expert Bob Hirsch and biologists from the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
Crayfish are not native to Arizona and cause serious problems in some state waters, especially trout streams in the mountains. The Arizona Game and Fish Department says you can do your part to help by catching and eating all the crayfish you can.
