Splitshot- Ron Fortune of Sunland Marine swears by his Lowrance WAAS/GPS 19c. He likes to Striper fish on Pleasant and can go back to the same tree and catch fish in it week after week. You know how hard that is to do when the water's dropping or rising? Says it saves him a lot of time. And then, he got himself a Lowrance GPS antenna and put it on his truck. Now when he and the wife are traveling back east and pulling his boat he takes the finder off the boat and mounts it on the dashboard. When they need a motel or restaurant they look it up on the Lowrance and it tells them how to get there. Plus you avoid any arguments with the wife on where to turn and which way to turn!

Two weeks ago I got two X-15s (front and back). Back one has GPS mapping pack. They are great graphs. I have used them for a while on my team partner's boat. The reason why I went with the X-15 is it`s the best graph you can get that's not color. I fish with a guy that has full color graphs, and in my opinion is they suck. For instance, the front graph you have to angle up and the sun hits it and the sceen looks blank. So how did Lowrance fix the problem? They sell a shield that clips on the front of the graph to shade the sceen. So, now you have to look through a smaller hole and it sucks. The only time those graphs work great is at night, and if you fish like I do it`s 80% day and 20% night. You need a cab on your boat for those graphs to use them for what they are made for. My personal choice is the X-15 with the Gps mapping pack, it`s the same pack for all the graphs. Let me know if you are going to get some new graphs I have some VIF deals with Lowrance that need to be used before they expire, Save some $. Jamie
