Anyone out there do artificial grass installation? Need to have aproximitly 800 Square ft. of old sod removed and some artficial installed in east vally back yard.

I have a really good friend, yes I do have friends, that owns Express Turf Direct. his name is Pete Lugowski 480-270-1856. give him a shout and tell him that Dave with AAK gave you his number. his company, he is a working owner, just completed the MWD training fields at Luke for us and they did over 34,000 sf and it looks great.

Does it radiate alot of heat. I have an area I have wanted to gravel or put in fake grass. The grass is a type rubber or plastic correct? I guess I should google it.

The stuff they did at Luke, they installed 3lbs of what they called per sf of turf. Yes it will get warm/hot but you can spray it with water and it cools rather quickly. He carries alot of different products and I'm sure that he has one to suit your needs. He even does putting greens.

I WOULD NOT suggest fake grass. It radiates and holds heat. If you have a window that reflects down towards it, it may melt. It also holds pet urine smells.
I work with a ton of landscape companies that use it when they have to but none reccomend it.

They had that shit at the pool area at the Planet Hollywood in Vegas and I almost cried trying to walk across it! It was damn hot! Not recommended in my opinion!
