What is the most effective "set up" for a Curado. 6.5 or 7.0 foot medium heavy rods? Use them for drop shot, buzzbaits, and topwater only? can you use them for making long casts with Crippled Herrings, Kastmasters, and Little Georges but use a slow retrieve considering they have a high gear ratio? I'm just a RookieBoy with some new toys. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Matt

Follow the recommended lure weight and line weight painted on the rod. You might be able to get away with a little lighter or heavier than what it says just don't try throwing a trout bait with it!

sounds like you have the makings of an excellent split shottin' combo. like it was said before, that is the all around combo, enjoy

They come in three different speeds now. Pick the ratio that best suits your presentation. I use the slower speed reels for cranking and spinnerbaiting. It makes me SLOW down even when I can't. Later...

Yea ! I got from E bay $70 Found out that model was discontinued about 10 years ago. Got another one,Brand New, with 4 x4 SVS and it is totaly unbelievable. By far the best reel Ive gotten to play with so far. Thanks for the info. ... Pete
