Jeezus...that sounds kinda like fun tho (until it got within striking distance of you and the boat). My hats off to you for paying to play on a lake that you haven't been to. That takes some confidence (and some balls).
Flat Broke @ Choke
Well some of you guys wanted me to post after I got back from Choke canyou so here it is. I didn't win any money, I didn't catch anything even worthy of going accross the stage but we had a great time ILO all that. Got to the lake at 10:00 sat morning and signed in for the tournment ( 1st mistake, should have saved 100.00) went out to see the lake and do a little fishing. WOW what a lake 26,000 acre ft is a lot to learn in 5 hours so we did our best and cut the lake into quarters. Started out around 3 fingers, catching fish was not a problem, but catching a BIG one is a different story. Got off the lake at 4:00 pm and the biggest was 3.45lb. Decided to go to 4 fingers the next morning, took off at 6:30 still a little hard for me to see but we made it to our spot without hitting any standing timber and thats a good thing. There is just too much stuff to fish at this lake, Grass 0 to 7ft standing timber 0 to 25ft, Creek beds, Old boat ramps, Rocky points, Islands and we only saw 25% of the lake. That day went almost the same as Sat., catching not a problem but catching Big ones was not going to happen. Then there it was, way back in this grassy cove, took me 4 casts to get my spinnerbait exactly where I wanted it, and then the fight was on. I fowl hooked a 6 plus and I don't meen LBs I meen 6 plus FOOT long Aligator. What a ride I got about 4 or 5 cranks of the handle befor it decided to turn it head and start pulling the lure,the rod, me and the entire boat with it. My buddy in the back is yelling at me woundering if I want the net, and all I could do is laugh. Finally I told him to get a F'in knife and cut the line 'cause I really didn't want thin monster any closer ( 50 lb Power Pro )So I lean back trying to turn his head so I could see his mouth or his teeth and the hook straightened oout and came flying back at us at about 40 mph. I never got him to the boat ( thats a good thing) but man what a hell of a hook-up for about 90 seconds. Camping that night was a blast also but I'm out of time here so that will have to be another post.

Did you hook your partner in the head? Does he know that you have done this twice know?

I talked about you the entire time we there to my buddy( I think he feels like he knows you) and we decided to call you first before we go agian. It's only 2:45hrs from my house,so they will be seeing a lot af me.
