I had 3 reels spooled with floroclear

1. dropshot rod with 6lb as usual
1 curado with 10lb for pitching
1 Rick Clunn with 12lb for pitching

I can say I was definatly impressed with the 10 and 12 lb stuff. The dropshotrod and reel with floroclear Ive been using for over a year and a half.

but for pitching anf flipping the banks I was always using trilene xl 10 and 12 lbs. Due to the fact I was worried about getting nicks in my line and loosing fish or the texas rig I normally use.

I believe that the floroclear is much stonger than trilene. It is also almost invisible in the water as well.
It also casts just as nice.

I was able to get most of my rigs unstuck last night and pull up some pretty good size sticks. I lost a few hang ups.

Also I noticed it was very very sensitive. Sence I spooled this up for a day tourny(even thought we didnt make it) , we fished a night tourny last night and I didnt have any floresent line I have to go by feel. Its not as sensitive as braided but its far better than mono and or floresent.

The stretch is not as bad as mono either.

I am a believer in floroclear now, Now we will just see how long it lasts.

Ken you were right thats great stuff. but you knwo when you use something its hard to change.
Like the rick clunn reels I like them more and more than the curados everytime I use them. I am thinking of dumping 12 of them and buying all clunns. ( I havent decided yet)

ditto on the florouclear. Good stuff. I tried the Yozuri (sp) floroucarbon on the baitcaster. I'm still learning thumb control and developed a few rats nests in the reel. that line is really strong too!

Then only line I like better than Flouroclear, is their new pure flourocarbon. The 6lb that I use for dropshotting is stonger than the 8lb flouroclear I used to use. I also have some 10lb on a spinning outfir for throwing soft jerkbaits. If I ever wear out the 12lb flouroclear on my worm rod, I'm gonna try the pure flourocarbon on my baitcaster.

DA, I'm doing fine. Thanks for asking.

I attach the 6# FloroClear to 6#Fireline with a tiny crane swivel. Don't remember the size # of the swivel but it's small enough that it slips through the line guides on my D.S. rod with no problem.

BTW, I tie up several leaders and have them ready to tie on to the swivel if I break off. I have never lost a swivel so far, the leader always breaks before the Fireline.
